Project Orbis (Ireland) Company Limited By Guarantee is the Irish affiliate of Orbis International, a global non-profit dedicated to ending avoidable blindness. Its core mission is to build strong, sustainable eye-care systems that bring both treatment and prevention within reach for all, with a particular focus on low-resource settings such as the SNNP region of Ethiopia, where it tackles cataract, trachoma and refractive error for over three million people.

The organisation delivers a suite of programmes that include country-level health system strengthening, the Cybersight tele-ophthalmology platform, community-outreach clinics, and the iconic Flying Eye Hospital. Through partnerships with corporations, trusts and foundations, as well as a network of volunteer faculty, Orbis Ireland also drives technology and innovation, supports women and girls, and runs a research centre to inform evidence-based practice. Fundraising initiatives, legacy giving and corporate collaborations enable supporters to "give the gift of sight" and help transform lives worldwide.
