Sligo Jazz Project Company Limited By Guarantee is a not-for-profit organisation that nurtures jazz education and performance in the heart of Ireland's Northwest. Each July it delivers the Sligo International Jazz Summer School - a six-day intensive programme of workshops, masterclasses and jam sessions led by world-class educators and performers such as Elio Villafranca, Melissa Aldana, Steve Rodby and Kenny Werner. The summer school has grown into one of Europe's most respected jazz-learning events, offering musicians of all ages and backgrounds an affordable, inclusive environment to develop their craft.

In parallel, the Sligo Jazz Festival showcases a vibrant mix of concerts, pub, hotel and café sessions, and spontaneous jams that feature both the summer-school faculty and leading Irish and international acts. Past line-ups have included the Mike Stern/Victor Wooten Band, Avishai Cohen, Yellowjackets and The Bad Plus, underscoring the festival's reputation for high-quality, diverse performances.
