Company Description
Victim Support at Court (V-SAC) is Ireland's sole voluntary service dedicated exclusively to court accompaniment for victims of crime, their families and prosecution witnesses. Operating at the forefront of the Irish judicial system, V-SAC offers a compassionate, high-quality presence in courtrooms, ensuring that those affected by crime are never alone during legal proceedings.
The organisation provides a free, confidential support package that includes clear explanations of the trial process, guidance on Garda Síochána and court procedures, assistance with liaising with other agencies, and information on victims' rights, the Criminal Injuries Tribunal and additional sources of help. By working closely with the Department of Justice, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, An Garda Síochána and the Courts Service of Ireland, V-SAC delivers a coordinated service that meets the diverse needs of its clients.
Based in Dublin, V-SAC also welcomes volunteers and donors who wish to contribute to its mission of empathy, respect and partnership across the criminal-justice landscape.
