Company Description
The Irish Federation of Marine Industries (IMF) is the national voice for Ireland's commercial and leisure marine sectors. As an industry-wide organisation, IMF brings together boatbuilders, marinas, marine engineers, electricians, tourism operators and related service providers, championing their interests at both national and European level.
IMF's core offering centres on member benefits that include specialist training, advocacy and networking. In partnership with British Marine, the federation delivered Ireland's first British Marine Electrical Training (BMET) course, equipping marine technicians and engineers with certification to the BMEEA Code of Practice, ISO standards and the Recreational Craft Regulations. Regular workshops, information sessions and high-profile events - from the Royal St George Yacht Club gathering to the European Maritime Day panel - keep members informed about funding opportunities, offshore renewable projects and the growing blue-economy market.
Serving marine businesses across the island, the IMF works closely with bodies such as the European Boating Industry and the European Maritime Safety Committee, ensuring Irish marine interests are represented in policy discussions and that members have access to the latest industry knowledge and collaborative opportunities.
