LÁR CHOMHAIRLE PARÓISTE GLEANN CHOLM CILLE CUIDEACHTA FAOI THEORAINN RÁTHAÍOCHTA

Lár Chomhairle Paróiste Gleann Cholm Cille (LCPG) is a charitable company limited by guarantee that acts as the umbrella community‑development organisation for the parish of Glencolmcille. Elected democratically every four years, the current ten‑member board represents the five townlands of Na Málainne, Na Mínte, Teileann, An Caiseal and An Charraig, ensuring that the social, cultural, economic and educational needs of the whole area are championed.

The group delivers a wide range of locally‑run projects through its sub‑committees. Key services include a public defibrillator programme that maintains seven devices across the parish, the Glencolmcille Community Garden with regular gardening classes, the “Togra na Spéartha” initiative, a first‑responder team, a summer camp, and a series of children’s storytelling mornings, workshops and other events. Development and language‑planning officers coordinate these activities, helping to sustain the vibrancy of the community.

Based in An Caiseal, Gleann Cholm Cille, County Donegal, LCPG works directly with residents, schools and local partners to foster a thriving, inclusive parish where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.
