Celtic Steamers Company Limited By Guarantee is a volunteer-run organisation founded in 2001 by a network of steam-enthusiasts across Ireland. Based in Carlow, the group combines a passion for historic steam engines with a strong charitable ethos, having raised approximately €35,000 for a variety of Irish charities through its signature three-day road runs. These events showcase fifteen to twenty restored steam engines and model replicas travelling between towns, while collections are made en-route to support the chosen cause.

In addition to its fundraising activities, Celtic Steamers offers a specialist steam-engine restoration service, reviving vintage locomotives, tractors and related machinery to their former splendour. The organisation also promotes heritage preservation, encourages young people to engage with steam technology, and advocates for more affordable insurance for engine owners. With a membership of over sixty dedicated volunteers, Celtic Steamers continues to celebrate Ireland's industrial heritage while giving back to the community.
