RELIGIOUS OF THE SACRED HEART OF MARY (IRELAND)

The Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) is an international congregation of Catholic women religious whose mission, drawn from John 10:10, is “that all may have life”. Founded in 1849, the sisters devote themselves to knowing and loving God, making Him known and loved, and proclaiming the coming of Jesus Christ. Their work spans continents – from Africa, Europe and Asia to North and South America – and embraces a wide range of ministries such as education, retreat‑centres, social projects, student residences and community outreach.

In Ireland the congregation forms part of the Northern European Area, which also includes France, England, Scotland and Wales, and collaborates with sister provinces worldwide. Whether through schools, social initiatives or spiritual formation, the RSHM sisters serve people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds, inviting partners to join them in “serving with God’s people”.
