THE SONS OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE

The Sons of Divine Providence is a Roman Catholic religious congregation founded in Italy in 1893 by St Luigi Orione. Guided by the founder's motto "Do good to all; harm no one", the community lives out a mission of social justice and care for the most vulnerable, operating a network of homes, day-centres and housing projects for the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged.

In Ireland the congregation is based in Dublin and, through its English-speaking missionary delegation, extends its work to overseas missions in Jordan, Kenya and India. Key specialisations include residential care homes for homeless elderly men, horticultural day programmes, vocational support and pastoral initiatives such as the weekly Mass at Westminster House Chapel in Hampton Wick.

With more than a thousand priests and brothers serving in thirty-two countries, The Sons of Divine Providence provides health and social-care services to over 200 000 people, continually adapting the spirit of St Luigi Orione to contemporary needs while remaining rooted in its charitable, faith-based ethos.
