Limerick Mental Health Association (LMHA) is a community-driven charity that has been championing positive mental health across Limerick City and County since 2002. The organisation offers a free sign-posting service, guiding anyone who is unsure of the support they need to the appropriate local resources, and provides one-to-one peer support facilitated by trained volunteers who bring lived experience, empathy and respect to every conversation.

In addition to direct support, LMHA runs a vibrant programme of wellness activities-including yoga, mindfulness, music and art therapy, walking groups and regular social events such as board-game evenings and coffee mornings-designed to promote wellbeing and reduce isolation. Each year the charity also organises Limerick Mental Health Week, a city-wide forum that raises awareness, tackles stigma and showcases the breadth of mental-health services available locally.

With an open-door, "no wrong door" ethos, LMHA creates a safe, non-judgemental space for individuals and families, ensuring that anyone who walks through its doors leaves with the right help, whether that comes from LMHA itself or a partner service.
