Irish Advocacy Network Company Limited by Guarantee (trading as Peer Advocacy in Mental Health)

Peer Advocacy in Mental Health is an island‑wide, independent organisation run by people with lived experience of mental health challenges. It offers peer‑advocacy, information and practical support to individuals navigating mental‑health difficulties, helping them to speak up, build confidence and claim their rights. The service is client‑directed and adapts to each person’s unique needs, fostering self‑advocacy skills in a respectful, non‑judgemental and empathic environment.

In addition to direct advocacy, the network provides training for service users, families and health‑care professionals, promoting a deeper understanding of mental‑health issues across the four corners of Ireland. Its core values—person‑centred, respectful, empathic, supportive, non‑judgemental and authentic—reflect the lived‑experience of its advocates, ensuring genuine, equal‑status support for all clients.

The organisation serves anyone experiencing mental‑health challenges in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, as well as their families and the professionals who work with them.
