Company Description
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Ireland (WEEE Ireland) is the national champion for the collection, treatment and recycling of electrical and electronic waste. It works on behalf of its members to close the e-loop, turning discarded appliances, batteries, lighting equipment and cables into valuable secondary resources while ensuring hazardous components are safely disposed of.
The organisation offers a free, nationwide recycling service for households, producers and retailers. Through an interactive map users can locate authorised collection points, public collection days, participating electrical retailers and bulb-exchange stores, and even find local newsagents that accept portable batteries. WEEE Ireland also supplies battery-collection boxes to businesses and runs circular-economy projects with a range of partners, all highlighted in its annual environmental report.
By making e-waste recycling simple and cost-free, WEEE Ireland helps individuals and businesses across Ireland protect the environment and contribute to a sustainable, resource-efficient future.
