Blackwater Childcare Company Limited By Guarantee is a community-driven, not-for-profit childcare centre that emerged from the Fermoy Young Mothers Group in May 2003. Built to meet the clear demand for affordable, high-quality early years provision in the Fermoy area, the centre offers a safe, caring and HSE-regulated environment where children can thrive at their own pace.

The purpose-built facility houses a range of age-specific rooms: an Infant Room for babies aged 3-12 months, a Toddler Room for children from 12 months to 2 years, a Junior Room for those aged 2-3 years, and a programme for 3-4-year-olds following the High Scope curriculum. Each setting is staffed by experienced professionals who provide personalised attention and foster a "home from home" atmosphere, while also offering families information and education to support their childcare needs.
