Work Start West Cork Company Limited By Guarantee runs a free, confidential employability service funded by the Department of Social Protection. Its core purpose is to empower people of all abilities - from 18 to 65 - who are out of work because of long-term medical conditions, illnesses, injuries or disabilities, helping them find and retain meaningful employment.

The service offers a dedicated Jobcoach in each local area who provides personalised guidance through every stage of the job-search process, from identifying suitable roles to preparing for interviews and supporting on-the-job retention. Employers are also encouraged to engage with the programme, gaining advice on how to integrate motivated, diverse talent into their workforce and create inclusive workplaces.
