Fostering First Ireland is an independent fostering agency that has been working in partnership with Tusla, the Child and Family Agency, since its launch in May 2005. Based in Dublin and serving families across the Republic, the organisation specialises in recruiting, assessing and training foster carers, then matching them with children and young people who need a safe, supportive home.

The core of Fostering First's offering is a fully qualified, multi-disciplinary team that provides high-quality assessment, consulting and ongoing support services. Therapists, education officers, support workers and social workers collaborate to ensure each placement is carefully matched and that carers receive the training, specialist equipment and guidance they need - including for children with disabilities or medical needs. In addition, the agency runs regular online information events and offers a clear allowance structure, with weekly payments designed to cover the day-to-day costs of caring.
