LEARNING WAVES LIMITED

Learning Waves Limited is the dedicated training body for Ireland's independent commercial radio sector. Funded by its 34 member organisations - which include the nation's independent stations, sales houses, Media Central, IRS+ and Urban Media - as well as by Skillnet Ireland and Coimisiún na Meán, Learning Waves designs and delivers custom-made training that supports radio professionals at every stage of their careers. The organisation has been recognised with a string of industry awards, including the IMRO Outstanding Achievement Award (2021), the Media Literacy Ireland Award for its TY Media Programme (2023) and the Learning and Development Institute Award for its Journalism Graduate Programme (2023).

Through a dynamic training calendar, a member-only Learning Hub and a suite of graduate programmes, Learning Waves offers a wide range of courses - from broadcast law updates and creative-led selling to AI in media, voice training and inclusive workplace practices. With more than 40 high-skilled trainers, the provider ensures that the latest industry knowledge is delivered in an engaging, practical format, helping radio staff across Ireland to manage, lead and inspire in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
