OPERATION SMILE IRELAND

Operation Smile Ireland is a charitable organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of children born with cleft lip, cleft palate or related facial differences. By organising volunteer-led surgical missions and comprehensive after-care programmes, the charity provides life-changing treatment to thousands of youngsters worldwide, including those in Ireland.

The core service is complete cleft care - from the initial corrective surgery to the multidisciplinary support that follows. Teams of medical volunteers deliver nutrition advice, dental and orthodontic treatment, speech therapy and psychosocial counselling, ensuring each child receives a holistic pathway to a healthy, confident smile. Operation Smile Ireland also engages the public through fundraising, skill-based volunteering, corporate partnerships and legacy giving, inviting supporters to become part of a global network that champions access to safe surgical care.
