WATERFORD SPORTS PARTNERSHIP COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Waterford Sports Partnership (WSP) is a County Waterford-wide charitable organisation dedicated to boosting sport and physical activity participation for people of all ages and abilities. Established in 2002 by Sport Ireland as part of the Local Sports Partnership initiative, WSP works hand-in-hand with local communities, clubs and schools to deliver inclusive, targeted programmes that promote healthier lifestyles and a more active Waterford.

Key services include a free-hire scheme for accessible equipment, supporting inclusive activity in both Waterford and Dungarvan, and a calendar of courses and events booked through their Eventbrite page. The partnership also runs flagship projects such as Playful Communities, Stride to School, and seasonal events like Winterval Orienteering, all designed to engage residents and encourage lifelong sport participation.

With a county office in Dungarvan and a city office at the Regional Sports Centre in Waterford, the partnership serves the whole of County Waterford, acting as a hub for collaboration, volunteer recognition and community-led sport development.
