Company Description
Ballymun Local Drugs Task Force (BLDTF) is a community-driven organisation founded in 1997 to address drug- and alcohol-related issues within the Ballymun area of Dublin. As one of 14 Local Drugs Task Forces across Ireland, it operates under the Government's National Drugs Strategy, bringing together voluntary, statutory and local partners to develop coordinated, locally-focused responses.
The task force delivers a range of specialised programmes, including the Community Alcohol Strategy, which outlines a collaborative approach to reducing alcohol-related harm, and the Strengthening Families Programme, designed to support families through evidence-based interventions. In addition, BLDTF provides a comprehensive Support Services hub, offering easy access to useful contact numbers and links to both local and national support agencies.
By fostering co-ordination among services and listening closely to community needs, Ballymun Local Drugs Task Force helps create a safer, healthier environment for residents, while ensuring that resources and expertise are effectively channelled to those who need them most.
