Dochas Offaly Cancer Support Group is a Midlands-wide, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing the highest-quality psychosocial support for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer. Since 2003 the group has created a safe, confidential space where patients, carers and families can access holistic therapies that complement conventional medical treatment and help restore a sense of control during a challenging time.

The service portfolio includes a range of complementary therapies offered free of charge: reflexology to rebalance the body, customised massage to ease anxiety and treatment-related discomfort, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) that blends meditation and yoga for mental and spiritual wellbeing, and acupuncture to alleviate pain, boost energy and reduce nausea. All interventions are delivered with a focus on the individual's physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health.

Dochas is a proud member of the Alliance of Community Cancer Support Centres and Services 2024-2027, aligning its practice with the best-practice guidelines of the National Cancer Control Programme. By fostering community connections and offering a welcoming "cuppa" chat, the group ensures that compassionate, holistic care is always within reach for those living with cancer across the Midlands.
