HEART CHILDREN IRELAND

Heart Children Ireland is a national charity dedicated to providing lifelong support for people living with congenital heart disease (CHD) and their families. By creating a vibrant community of members, donors and volunteers, the organisation ensures that every child, adolescent and adult affected by one of the more than 40 structural heart conditions receives the information, emotional care and practical assistance they need from diagnosis through to adulthood.

Key services include a free-of-charge support network, regular webinars for new parents, a specialised "Beat Goes On" conference for adolescents, adults and parents, and a range of fundraising and corporate partnership opportunities. The charity also runs a bursary programme, offers a calendar and an online shop featuring branded hoodies, and provides a dedicated fundraising and corporate partnerships role to expand its impact. All activities are underpinned by a commitment to mental-health support for children who have endured multiple surgeries and prolonged hospital stays.

Heart Children Ireland serves families across the Republic, working closely with hospitals such as CHI Crumlin, where over 450 open-heart surgeries are performed each year, and reaching the roughly 19,000 Irish residents living with CHD.
