IRISH BALLOONING ASSOCIATION COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Irish Ballooning Association (IBA) is the national representative body for hot-air ballooning in Ireland. Affiliated with the National Aero Club of Ireland, the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale and the Commission Internationale d'Aérostation, the IBA oversees the selection of Irish pilots for international competition and administers the Irish National Ballooning Championships, a tradition now spanning more than four decades.

A key focus of the Association is the organisation of the annual Irish Hot Air Ballooning Championships, most recently the 53rd edition scheduled for September 2025 at Lough Key Forest & Activity Park in Boyle, Co. Roscommon. The IBA provides up-to-date information on launch times, weather conditions and event logistics through its website and dedicated Facebook page, ensuring that both balloonists and the public can safely enjoy the spectacle.
