DARA RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Dara Residential Services (trading as Dara Community Living) is a not-for-profit organisation that empowers adults with intellectual disabilities to live ordinary, self-determined lives in their local communities. Based in the Celbridge, Kilcock and North Dublin area, Dara supports individuals to choose where and with whom they live, whether in a home of their own or shared accommodation, always respecting each person's will and preference.

The service portfolio includes Dara Homes, which provides personalised housing support; Dara Respite, offering regular, locally-coordinated respite stays that enable participants to socialise, meet friends and enjoy community activities; Dara Possibilities, a one-to-one planning service that helps adults exercise their rights and pursue a full, purposeful life; and Dara Employment, a Pobal-funded "Workability: Inclusive Pathways to Employment" programme that delivers disability-awareness training, inclusive workplace development and tailored supports for job-seekers.

A newly opened community hub on Celbridge's Main Street serves as a welcoming drop-in space and houses a wheelchair-friendly toilet, reinforcing Dara's commitment to accessibility and community connection. All initiatives are co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union, underscoring a strong public-sector partnership in championing inclusive living.
