The Kilkenny Gospel Choir Company Limited By Guarantee is a community-driven musical organisation celebrating twenty-five years of gospel singing in the medieval city of Kilkenny. Founded in 2000 by Fr Willie Purcell, the choir brings together singers from every Irish county and from abroad, offering a welcoming platform for choirs worldwide to experience faith, fun and friendship through shared performances and cultural exchange.

The choir's core activities include regular concerts, a "Programme of Welcome" for visiting international ensembles, and the production of recorded music. Their catalogue features the album *Somebody's Praying*-released in 2008 to support the Irish Cancer Society and Cancer Care-alongside a single and a growing collection of videos and photographs that showcase their vibrant repertoire. Over the years the group has raised more than €4.5 million for charitable causes, underscoring its commitment to both artistic excellence and community benefit.

Based in Kilkenny, the Kilkenny Gospel Choir welcomes collaborations with choirs from Germany, the USA, Great Britain, Poland, Scotland, Canada and beyond, fostering a global network of gospel enthusiasts while enriching the cultural life of Ireland.
