THE GREATER CHERNOBYL CAUSE COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Greater Chernobyl Cause Company Limited by Guarantee is an Irish charitable organisation dedicated to delivering humanitarian aid across the former Soviet Union, with a particular focus on Ukraine. Since the full-scale invasion in February 2022 the charity has withdrawn all operations from Russia and redirected its resources to support civilians affected by the conflict, providing food, clothing, medicine, shelter and both medical and mental-health assistance to displaced men, women and children.

Drawing on more than two decades of experience, the Greater Chernobyl Cause runs a range of projects such as the Semipalitinsk Hospice appeal in Kazakhstan, the Journey to Kazakhstan (2017) and Semey Hospice (2016), as well as awareness initiatives like "Chernobyl 1986 - A Toxic". Based in Cork, the organisation mobilises the Irish community to stand with Ukraine, helping to rebuild lives and livelihoods while championing the right of people to live in safety and dignity.
