Company Description
Codling Wind Park Limited is spearheading Ireland's largest Phase One offshore wind development, situated in the Irish Sea roughly 13-22 km off the County Wicklow coast between Greystones and Wicklow Town. The joint-venture, owned equally by Fred. Olsen Seawind and EDF Power Solutions, will install 60-75 turbines to generate up to 1 300 MW of clean electricity - enough to power around 1.2 million Irish homes and deliver more than a quarter of the nation's 2030 offshore-wind target.
The project's core specialisations lie in renewable-energy generation, offshore wind engineering and large-scale project delivery. In addition to supplying low-cost, low-carbon power, Codling Wind Park will create 75 permanent jobs, support hundreds of construction-phase roles, and establish a community benefit fund of up to €200 million for local initiatives. By saving up to 1.7 million tonnes of CO₂ each year, the park underpins Ireland's ambition to source 80 % of its electricity from renewables by 2030, bolstering energy independence and climate-action goals.
