The Speleological Union of Ireland (SUI) is the national body that brings together Ireland's vibrant caving community. As a company limited by guarantee, SUI acts as a central hub for clubs, individual cavers and anyone keen to explore the underground world, offering a welcoming gateway to the sport and its diverse participants.

Through its website, SUI provides up-to-date access information, safety notices and bolting updates for caves across the island, allowing members to report hazards, defective anchors, topo errors or conservation concerns. The Union also organises training programmes, such as the ICRO 2025/26 calendar, and runs introductory "Try Caving" events with groups like the Cork Speleological Group. In addition, SUI supports the next generation of explorers via the Young Cavers Award, which funds expeditionary caving projects for younger members.
