Company Description
The Society for the Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Ireland (SSSTDI) is the premier professional body representing clinicians, researchers and public-health practitioners working in sexual health across the country. Founded in September 1985, the Society provides a collaborative forum for the discussion and coordination of clinical services, and it actively promotes, encourages and improves the clinical and public-health management of sexually transmitted infections and HIV.
SSSTDI delivers a range of specialist resources, including regular conferences, workshops and a repository of educational material for its members. It organises annual meetings-such as the Autumn Meeting 2025, which recognises outstanding research through oral and poster prizes-and offers sponsorship opportunities and access to a network of Sexual Health Advisors. By fostering knowledge-exchange and supporting evidence-based practice, the Society helps shape Ireland's sexual health landscape and ensures that professionals stay at the forefront of STI and HIV care.
