Parents First (Laois, Offaly) CLG is a voluntary organisation dedicated to enhancing the well-being of families with young children across Laois and Offaly. Drawing on an evidence-informed, early-intervention model, the charity adopts a strengths-based approach that places parents at the heart of their children's physical, emotional, intellectual and social development. By fostering positive, caring relationships within families and the wider community, Parents First aims to prevent negative outcomes and empower parents to feel confident, resilient and socially connected.

The core of the service is a network of trained volunteers who visit families in their homes, offering regular social, emotional and practical support tailored to each family's needs. Complementary group programmes include a weekly Family Morning, a First-Time Parents Group and the Triple P Positive Parenting Programme, all designed to build parental confidence, provide peer support and promote early childhood development. Through these initiatives, Parents First helps families break isolation, strengthen their support networks and enjoy a happier, healthier family life.
