Dromcollogher & District Respite Care Centre Company Limited by Guarantee is a community‑owned charitable organisation that provides short‑term residential care for older people across County Limerick, North Cork, North Kerry, East Clare and Tipperary. Established in 2002 through a massive voluntary effort and the support of statutory bodies and generous donors, the purpose‑built centre houses a twenty‑bed residence where seniors can receive a safe, comfortable “home away from home” while their regular carers take a well‑deserved break.

The centre specialises in respite care, offering a warm, homely environment that respects the dignity and life‑experience of the generation that built modern Ireland. In addition to its core residential service, Dromcollogher Respite Centre runs a series of community‑fundraising events – May Fair Day, sponsored walks, raffles – and welcomes volunteers who wish to contribute to its mission.
