LAOIS COUNTY CHILDCARE COMMITTEE COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Laois County Childcare Committee (LCCC) is a not-for-profit body dedicated to planning and co-ordinating high-quality early childhood care and education across County Laois. Working with the National Childcare Scheme, the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Programme and the Community Childcare Subvention Plus (CCSP) Saver Programme, LCCC supports providers, childminders and families to deliver safe, inclusive and developmentally rich environments for pre-school children.

The committee offers a comprehensive suite of resources, including a regularly updated jobs board, guidance on core funding, the First 5 resource pack, and specialised information for childminders such as training, grants and the National Action Plan. Its Access and Inclusion Model ensures that children with disabilities can fully participate in ECCE, while the Children First guidance provides essential safeguards for child welfare. LCCC also maintains a searchable directory of local childcare providers and promotes community initiatives such as the Successful Outdoor Play Project and the Ukraine response support programme.
