Shannon Family Resource Centre (Shannon FRC) is a community-driven charity founded in 2001 that supports individuals and families across the Mid-West region of Ireland. Operating from the Respond Community Building in Shannon, Co. Clare, the centre adopts a holistic, strengths-based approach to enhance resilience, promote active participation and improve mental-well-being from cradle to grave.

The centre delivers a wide range of services, including low-cost professional counselling, family-support sessions, a homework club and a varied programme of community-education classes. It also provides information and advice, personal-development workshops and social-prescribing support, working in partnership with local organisations to meet the evolving needs of the community. A dedicated team of six staff members-ranging from a project coordinator and family-support workers to community-development and finance officers-are complemented by local volunteers who help ensure services are accessible and affordable.

Shannon FRC is part of the national Family Resource Centre network, collaborating with the Family Resource Centre National Forum to advocate for inclusive, community-focused initiatives that empower individuals, children and families throughout the region.
