Company Description
Children in Crossfire is an Irish-based charitable organisation dedicated to giving the world's most vulnerable children a chance to reach their full potential. Founded in 1996 by Richard Moore, who survived the Northern Ireland conflict, the charity partners with local organisations in Tanzania and Ethiopia to deliver early childhood education, therapeutic feeding and treatment for severe acute malnutrition. Since 2019, thousands of children have benefitted from these programmes, while students in Ireland and the UK gain Global Citizenship Education that equips them to champion social justice.
The charity's core specialisations include Early Childhood Development (ECD), health and nutrition interventions, and public-engagement initiatives such as the Vision 2030 programme. Through fundraising, school-based outreach and teacher-training, Children in Crossfire raises awareness of global inequality and advocates for increased investment in early education across Ireland. By connecting donors, volunteers and educators, the organisation creates a compassionate network that transforms lives both abroad and at home.
