ASSOCIATION FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The Association for Criminal Justice Research and Development (ACJRD) is Ireland's leading network for professionals, practitioners, students and researchers working within the criminal justice system. By fostering informal forums for discussion, promoting rigorous study and research, and championing the highest standards of practice, ACJRD seeks to drive reform, development and more effective operation of the justice system across the country.

ACJRD delivers a vibrant programme of conferences, seminars and webinars, and publishes a range of outputs including conference reports, the Martin Tansey Memorial Lectures, research papers, submissions and newsletters. Its working groups, mentoring scheme and Research Hub give members the chance to share expertise, guide the next generation of criminologists and showcase commissioned research. With a renewed strategic plan for 2026-2030, the association now offers lower membership fees and is expanding its team, currently recruiting an Events & Communications Officer to further support collaboration and evidence-informed policy throughout the Irish criminal justice community.
