Company Description
Paralympics Ireland is the recognised National Paralympic Committee for the Republic of Ireland, operating under the auspices of the International Paralympic Committee. Its core mission is to prepare, manage and support the Irish team at the Paralympic Games, ensuring athletes have the resources, coaching and logistical backing needed to compete on the world stage. In addition to its role at the Games, Paralympics Ireland serves as the national governing body for para-sport, overseeing the development of disciplines such as alpine skiing, snowboarding, para ice hockey, cross-country skiing, biathlon and wheelchair curling, and championing inclusive sport across the country.
The organisation also promotes Ireland's participation in major international events, from the upcoming 2026 Paralympic Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo to the Para Cycling Road World Championships in Alabama. Based in Dublin, Paralympics Ireland works closely with partners, athletes and the wider community to foster high-performance pathways and raise the profile of para-sport throughout Ireland.
