Business in the Community Ireland (BITCI) is a national network that unites businesses, government and local communities to drive real progress in sustainability and social inclusion. With a 25-year track record, BITCI works with more than 120 of Ireland's leading companies - from multinationals such as Accenture, Bank of Ireland and Diageo to public bodies like An Post and Iarnród Éireann - helping them embed environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into everyday practice.

The organisation offers a suite of services designed to make responsible business the norm. Its Sustainability Services provide bespoke ESG advice, collective-action programmes that rally companies around systemic change, and accredited carbon-literacy training for SMEs. BITCI also runs Education programmes that pair businesses with schools, delivering volunteering and learning opportunities for thousands of students, and Employment programmes that support vulnerable job-seekers, achieving positive outcomes for 75 % of participants.

Operating across the island of Ireland, BITCI's impact is reflected in its robust membership of 118 large national and multinational firms, representing over 212 000 employees, and in measurable results such as 4 826 students engaged in 2023 education initiatives. Through collaboration and expertise, BITCI helps members become more competitive, productive and deeply rooted in the communities they serve.
