ST. MARGARETS TRAVELLERS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

St. Margaret's Travellers Community Association (a company limited by guarantee) is a community-led organisation based in Ballymun, Dublin 11. It exists to support the Traveller families living in St Margaret's Park, Carton Terrace and Carton Road, offering a safe, inclusive space where residents can develop skills, access health information and take part in cultural projects.

The Association runs a vibrant Women's Group that delivers a Local Training Initiative, covering literacy, health-care, crafts, sport and confidence-building workshops. It also provides homework assistance for children, a primary-healthcare newsletter and regular on-site health-worker sessions. Community-development highlights include the award-winning Community Grotto and mural-built largely from recycled materials and opened by the Lord Mayor of Dublin-as well as fundraising events for international partners such as the Kivulini Women's Rights Organisation in Tanzania. Seasonal programmes such as Learning Skills Week bring mothers and children together for educational and recreational activities.

Through these initiatives the Association empowers residents, fosters social inclusion and showcases the creativity and resilience of the Traveller community in Ballymun.
