STAR PROJECT, BALLYMUN

Star Project Ballymun is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by drug and alcohol misuse. Drawing on a trauma-informed, holistic approach, STAR offers an intensive personal-development programme that empowers people to make positive changes at their own pace, whether they are seeking recovery for themselves or support for a loved one.

The charity delivers three core services: a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Programme for young people and adults, a Family Support Service that provides structured assistance and education to relatives, and the Easy Street Outreach Team, which offers flexible, on-the-ground help for those in crisis. Central to its work are the values of loving presence, respect and non-judgement, ensuring every client is met with empathy and tailored support. STAR collaborates with a wide network of agencies and benefits funding from the Ballymun Local Drug and Alcohol Task Force, the Health Service Executive and the Department of Social Protection, enabling it to serve the Ballymun community and the wider Dublin area with responsive, evidence-based care.
