The National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (NAPD) is a company limited by guarantee that exists to champion and develop school leadership throughout Ireland. Its core mission is to empower principals and deputy principals with the philosophical, moral and professional skills they need to navigate an ever‑changing educational landscape, while also safeguarding their health and wellbeing.

NAPD delivers a comprehensive suite of supports for its members, including an ever‑growing library of over 70 guidance documents in the Cuidiú section, a range of short courses, micro‑credentials and digital learning resources, and exclusive publications. The association also organises high‑profile events such as the annual NAPD Conference – the next edition will be held in Galway from 15‑17 October 2025 – and the FETCI symposium, both of which provide networking, professional learning and thought‑leadership opportunities. Members can stay up‑to‑date via the NAPD website, the dedicated NAPD App, and the association’s active presence on X (formerly Twitter).
