Company Description
The Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI) is the nation's leading charity dedicated to supporting disabled drivers and passengers. By championing independence and equal opportunity, the organisation helps people with physical disabilities overcome mobility barriers and achieve their full potential through tailored education, training and advocacy.
DDAI offers a comprehensive suite of services, including advice on tax-relief schemes, vehicle adaptation, driver assessment and instruction, and a self-service portal for EU Parking Permit holders. Its EU Parking Permit programme - which has processed over 350,000 permits since 2006 - provides an eligibility wizard, renewal support and guidance on correct usage. Members also benefit from exclusive discounts on new-vehicle purchases, fuel, ferry travel, hotels and roadside assistance.
Operating on a national level, DDAI works closely with its members - people with disabilities employed in the disability sector - to generate new initiatives and raise awareness of the services that can make everyday travel safer and more accessible for all.
