Munterconnaught Community Development Association (MCDA) is a company limited by guarantee dedicated to enriching the lives of residents in the Munterconnaught area. Its two core priorities are to champion the preschool service now operating as The Village Preschool and to sustain a vibrant community hub at Ballydurrow Community Centre. By overseeing the centre’s renovation and ongoing upgrades, MCDA provides a safe, comfortable environment that accommodates the preschool’s extended hours (8 am‑6 pm, Monday‑Friday) as well as a wide range of local groups, from play‑groups and ceilidhs to meetings and rehearsals.

The association’s work centres on fostering collaboration among active community organisations, encouraging higher utilisation of the centre, and creating a more cohesive parish. Through continual grant funding, the facilities are kept modern and adaptable, supporting 33 local children in the preschool programme and offering space for cultural, educational and social events.
