The National LGBTQ+ Federation (NXF) is Ireland's longest-running queer-liberation organisation, dedicated to building a sustainable ecosystem where LGBTQ+ activists, organisations and allies can thrive. By connecting people through collaborative spaces, cultivating knowledge via research, community-led courses and media, and celebrating achievements with awards and archives, NXF works to remove barriers and ensure that every LGBTQ+ person can live freely.

Key programmes include the Activist Academy - a residential course that equips cross-generational activists with the skills needed for effective campaigning - and The GALAS, the nation's sole awards ceremony honouring LGBTQ+ excellence. NXF also publishes Gay Community News, Ireland's free national LGBTQ+ newspaper, and produces research resources such as the "LGBT Activism in Ireland, 1973-2023" podcast series and reports on health, migration and public attitudes. Through these initiatives, the federation nurtures collective power, drives policy change and preserves the community's history.
