M.D. Burns & Co. Limited began life in 1990 as a van-wholesaler founded by Mark Burns in Dundalk, Co. Louth. Over the past three decades the business has grown into a multi-faceted operation that spans retail, wholesale and manufacturing, now employing more than 100 staff and generating €20 million in annual turnover across three countries.

A core specialisation is the production of high-quality white tea-light candles. From its own factory in Moldova, M.D. Burns manufactures both 4-hour and 8-hour "nightlight" candles, the latter having sold over 10 million packs and currently running at roughly 3 000 cases per month for the Irish and UK markets. The company's own catalogue showcases a broad range of candle products that cater to both domestic and commercial customers.

Head-quartered in Kilbrew, Ashbourne, Co. Meath, M.D. Burns serves clients throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom, combining local expertise with an international manufacturing footprint to deliver reliable, long-lasting lighting solutions.
