The Irish Railway Record Society Company Limited By Guarantee is a Dublin-based charitable organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting Ireland's railway heritage for present and future generations. With a membership of over 1,000 enthusiasts from Ireland, Britain and abroad, the Society offers a vibrant community for anyone with an interest in Irish railways, transport and industrial history.

IRRS delivers a rich programme of activities, including regular talks, outings and an annual dinner, as well as a flagship Annual Meeting each February. Its specialist resources comprise a quarterly journal, a photographic archive of more than 28,000 historic images, and a Members' Library holding over 20,000 books, pamphlets, timetables and a historic railway law collection. The Society's main archive, situated in Dublin City near Heuston Station, provides researchers and members with unparalleled access to primary source material, while its YouTube channel showcases archival films from the 1950s to the 1990s.
