Moth to a Flame Limited is a boutique candle-making studio founded by Larry Kinsella in 1999. Nestled beside the river in Bennettsbridge, the company hand-crafts a distinctive range of candles, from classic pillar designs to the Silkmoth-scented collection and low-orm varieties. Visitors are welcome in the on-site studio shop, where the creative process can be seen first-hand and a selection of ready-made candles can be purchased.

In addition to its core line, Moth to a Flame offers a series of exclusive in-store pieces that are not shipped. These include the whimsical Cloud Globes, the sculptural Clustered Centrepiece and the avant-garde Tortured Wax art pieces, each created to add a touch of artistry to any interior. The studio sits just 7 km from Kilkenny City, close to the Nicholas Mosse pottery shop, making it a convenient stop for craft lovers exploring the region.

Larry Kinsella is also a founding member of the Made in Kilkenny craftspeople group, an organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in Irish craft. Through its handcrafted candles and unique art pieces, Moth to a Flame continues to illuminate homes and hearts across the country.
