The Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland (APPI) is a professional body dedicated to advancing psychoanalytic and psychotherapeutic practice throughout the country. Operating as a company limited by guarantee, APPI brings together clinicians, scholars and students who share a commitment to deepening understanding of the mind and fostering therapeutic excellence.

APPI's core activities include offering membership to individuals and organisations interested in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, providing a platform for education, discussion and professional development. The association also organises events such as the "New Worlds: New Dimensions" symposium and its annual general meeting, creating opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and the presentation of innovative ideas. An active Executive Committee and an Innovations & Communication Committee drive the development of a new, up-to-date website that will soon serve as a central hub for resources, news and updates.
