IRISH ASSOCIATION OF YOUTH ORCHESTRAS COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras (IAYO) is the all-Ireland resource organisation that supports and connects youth orchestras throughout the Republic and Northern Ireland. By offering a central hub for information, funding and development opportunities, IAYO enables young musicians to collaborate, perform and grow in a supportive network.

Key initiatives include the annual IAYO Festival of Youth Orchestras, staged at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and the Youth Orchestra Collaboration Grant, which encourages cross-border projects. IAYO also runs a suite of specialist courses - from the Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra and Irish Youth Wind Ensemble to the ConCorda Chamber Music Course for Strings and orchestral conducting programmes - with applications opening each January. Additional resources such as the Safe to Create training programme, Arts Council funding updates and a "Friends of IAYO" scheme further enrich the sector.
