Irish Internet Hotline Company Limited by Guarantee is Ireland’s national reporting centre for illegal online content. Since its inception in 1999, the organisation enables members of the public to securely, anonymously and confidentially report material that breaches Irish law, with a particular focus on child sexual abuse material, online child sexual exploitation, intimate‑image abuse, racism, xenophobia and financial scams masquerading as Irish services.

The Hotline’s world‑class analysts assess each submission against rigorous standards and, where required, trigger action in close collaboration with the Gardaí, international law‑enforcement partners and the global INHOPE network of 46 hotlines. As a founding INHOPE member, the Irish Internet Hotline works tirelessly to remove offending content wherever it is hosted and to help identify and safeguard the children depicted.

Serving anyone who encounters illegal digital content, the Hotline also provides a suite of resources for issues beyond its remit, guiding users to appropriate national and international support organisations. Its work is underpinned by a transparent governance framework, reflected in its annual report and a forward‑looking 2025‑2028 strategic plan.
