AGE AND OPPORTUNITY

Age & Opportunity is a charitable organisation dedicated to reshaping perceptions of later life across Ireland. Its vision is an Ireland where older age is celebrated as a time of opportunity, with older people feeling active, visible, creative, connected and confident about ageing.

The charity delivers a suite of programmes that encourage movement, artistic expression and community involvement. The Active stream offers fitness-focused activities, Arts nurtures creativity with workshops and projects, and Engage invites participants to join larger social initiatives. These programmes are tailored for a range of settings - from workplaces and care environments to community groups and individuals - ensuring that everyone can benefit, regardless of circumstance.

Through partnerships with funders and a network of volunteers, Age & Opportunity provides ongoing support, events such as the "Changing Gears" courses, and opportunities for the public to contribute via recurring donations. Its work helps older adults stay vibrant, socially connected and empowered to lead fulfilling lives.
