AN DISEART

An Díseart, situated in the heart of the Dingle Peninsula Gaeltacht in County Kerry, is the Díseart Institute of Irish Spirituality and Culture. Founded in 1996, the organisation is dedicated to promoting research, education and cultural activities that celebrate Irish spirituality and Celtic heritage. Its programmes span theology, language, literature, art, folklore, music, archaeology and early-Christian history, offering courses, workshops and scholarly resources for both locals and visitors.

The centre also curates a range of experiential offerings. Highlights include the six two-light Harry Clarke stained-glass windows in the chapel, the meditative Díseart Gardens inspired by the tree of life, and a lively calendar of festivals, community events and artistic activities. Through its visitor centre, newsletters and the Friends of the Díseart network, the institute engages the community and encourages participation in the preservation and revitalisation of Celtic culture.
