Company Description
The Irish Foster Care Association (IFCA) is the national organisation that supports foster families and the wider fostering community across Ireland. Established in 1981 by a group of foster carers and social workers, IFCA's core mission is to promote excellence in foster care, ensuring every child in care can grow up in a safe, caring family environment.
IFCA offers a comprehensive suite of services, including a National Helpline and Advocacy Service, policy and practice guidance, and a robust learning and development programme featuring BUSS® Level One training, national and local events, and a podcast that shares real-life stories from foster care. Members benefit from peer-to-peer support, access to specialist resources, and opportunities to influence policy through the Association's advocacy work. The organisation also runs regional hubs and branches to provide local support.
Headquartered in Dublin, IFCA works nationally to advance best practice, shape policy and provide the practical support that foster carers and children need to thrive.
